Our very own recipe book filled with near 50 of our favourite recipes. To celebrate our 25th year anniversary of opening Jervaulx Abbey Tearooms, in 2019, we wrote our own recipe book which includes some of our award winning wedding cakes and many of the Tearooms most popular cakes. Tried and tested recipes for you to enjoy at home. A perfect gift for a loved one.
In their footsteps is broken down into different chapters. Firstly we introduce you to our unique story of owning a Cistercian Abbey and how we opened the tearooms to help the Abbey, building a reputation on home baking. Then onto a classic section, a range of recipes that are as strong today as they were when we opened in 1994. Next, our newbie section, a range of new recipes that have proved very popular. Free From section. Included some of our most popular free from recipes, including our award winning raspberry and almond cake free from gluten and diary. Winning best free from product in 2017 at the Deliciously Yorkshire awards. Finally a chapter on decorating, including fresh flower decorations.
We included a range of our favourite chutney/pickles, we used on our menu within the Tearooms. We started making our own as we are passionate about know exactly what is in our food, customers enjoyed them so much on our menu they wanted to buy it to take home.
