We pride ourselves on our menu, where possible food is sourced in Yorkshire including our Yorkshire Baker pastries and quiches,and free range eggs from Wensleydale Eggs in Finghall only 4 miles away, ensuring quality and accountability of all our products.
Specialising in home baking we use recipes from traditional to the unusual, like our Wild Flower Honey Cake. Our baking is known throughout the country, we have even sent recipes worldwide. With over 20 years' experience, we bake over 100 different types of cakes and pastries throughout the year. Very proud and excited for our recipe book, in their footsteps, celebrating 25 years of baking at Jervaulx.
Daily we have between 8 to 16 different cakes to choose from, whether it's a Belgium Chocolate Raspberry Truffle or the classic Blueberry & Lemon Cake with Cream Cheese Icing, we have plenty to tempt that sweet tooth.
We have a varied menu served between 11am until 4pm.
Savoury crumpets are a very popular choice for a lighter lunch.
Also enjoy a selection of sandwhichs served with many of our own chutneys and pickles, many of which can be bought in our shop to enjoy at home.
We serve our Tradtionally Home Baked Scones from 10am until we close at 4.30pm. Traditional Fruit Scone, Plain Scone, Apricot & Stem Ginger and Real Wensleydale Cheese Scones.
We recognise how difficult it is to eat out when some of us develop an allergy, we take allergies very seriously and have a full list of allergens at the back of our menu.
Although we take great care in our kitchen when preparing food for those with allergies and intolerances, our kitchen does contain allergens including gluten, dairy and nuts.
There is a good choice of free from gluten and dairy free items on our menu, this includes a range of handmade cakes and scones for your enjoyment. We have a full Allergen list at the back of our Menu to guide you.
